"Megapolis Hopes Go Down That Clogged Drain."

Monsoon dampens Mumbai's reputation
Three days after being hit by one of the worst spells of monsoon
rain, the reputation of India's financial capital Mumbai (Bombay)
as a dynamic economic powerhouse has taken a beating.

One of India's leading business dailies, the Economic Times,
put it bluntly: "Megapolis Hopes Go Down That Clogged Drain."

It continues: "Any aspirations, illusions or fond daydreams for
standing up to some of the biggest and best global cities have now
been crashed into smithereens."
