Female Astronauts

This is a mini-look into the tale of two female
astronauts on two
very different missions during
the first week
of February 2007.......got my
interest since I live minutes away from NASA
and Ms. Nowak's house in Clear Lake, Texas.

One giant step for Womankind

Among the personal items astronaut Sunita Williams
took with her to the International Space Station are
a copy of the
Bhagavad Gita, a small statue of Ganesha
and some
samosas.[4]

On Sun. Feb 4th she succeded in setting a new record
for time
spent on spacewalks by a woman, 22 hours
and 27 minutes. During the current mission she cut her hair
short and donated it to a children's charity called
Locks of Love

She's an Indian-American from Needham, Mass., married
with no kids.

One giant wrong step for (a) man (kind....of)

Lisa Nowak Before
Among the items astronaut Captain Lisa Nowak took with
her on her deadly mission here on earth were a BB gun,
a four-inch folding
buck knife, a new steel mallet, black gloves,
rubber tubing, plastic garbage bags and about US $600 in cash.
She probably holds the record for the most distance
traveled by
a female astronaut bent on mischief
(over 900 miles from Houston, Texas to Orlando, Florida),
all the while wearing adult diapers.**

The Orlando Police said Nowak had disguised herself during the
assault by wearing a hooded tan trench coat and black wig.

She's an Italian-American from Rockville, Maryland, recently
separated from her husband and has three kids.
A statement from her deeply saddened family is here

May these two ladies find peace and happiness
in the years ahead.
