'Siddhartha' (1972) filmed by Ingmar Bergman collaborator
Sven Nykvist, and written, produced and directed by
Conrad Rooks, tells the tale of a young Indian who
embarks upon a journey to find the meaning of existence,
and is based on the 1921 cult novel by Hermann Hesse.
Rarely seen until now, it is a must-see for film-making
connoisseurs everywhere. However, it did earn its share of
Rotten Tomatoes.
