DHENKANAL: In a case of shocking inhumanity, District Authorities here rescued
a woman, confined to a dingy room for 25 years by her family members, who
claimed she had an unsound mind.
Forty-three-year-old Annapurna was rescued from the room by the Police in
the presence of senior district officials on Wednesday, Police said on Friday.
“We found her in a wretched condition in the dingy room with an asbestos roof."
